Rory vs. boy vs. girl

Do you think Rory is a unisex nickname? I really want to use the name Gregory for my son, but Greg seems so dated. Also considering Grey, but really like Rory.

I love it for a boy. Love the Scottish vibe. It’s OK as a nickname for a girl, but I find it much more appealing on a boy.

Adorable! Amazing nn for Gregory! Sure it’s used as a female nickname, but it’s a boy’s name. http://www.behindthename.com/name/rory

I love this as a boy’s name, especially the Irish spelling Ruari

Its a boys name, just because some odd people use it on girls doesn’t mean its a unisex name.

As a nickname it can be used for either, just like Sam, Chris, Joe/Jo, Alex, etc. As a full name, I think it’s masculine.

Gregory nn Rory is really cute.
