Surfer Ocean vs. Beach Names

My hubby and I are like obsessed with the ocean/beach and we want to show that in our kids name. He is a pro surfer and I surf, but not competitively anymore. We love in CA and have a winter house in HI. We are pregnant with baby #1, but plan on having 3-6. We have made a list of ocean/beach/surfing related names. There’s a lot so I’ll post them in a comment below. Which ones do you like and have any other suggestions?

I like Dax, Dylan and Finn for boys. Alaia, Genevieve and Kealia for girls. I like Kai, Hurley, Zale, Laine as unisex names. Very creative guys!!

I love Kai for a boy; Alaia for a girl. GL! (I live on the beach in Fl and these names are not common here so you’re in luck!)

I would stay away from brand names because if they surf that would be a bit weird.

For a boy I love Kai nn for Kailand and Dax nn for Daxton. And for a girl I love Alaia, Isla and Kealia. Good luck!

Can I suggest modifications?

For example, instead of Coral (which is nice!) how about Coralie (which is a french name)? Or Marin turned Marina?

O’Neil - Awful. Hate last-names-as-first-names
