Brookie vs. Go with it vs. Leave it

I used to go to school with a few Brooke’s and I recall some of them being called Brookie and I have always loved that name. My neice’s middle name is Brooke and I fear it might be too close?

I meant the name Brookie, not Brooke. I wouldn’t go with Brooke because it is my neice’s middle name, but Brookie is different and might be ok.

I love the name Brooke and Brookie is cute for a nn. Im not sure however that it will age well.

What? Are you wanting name your daughter Brooke? It doesn’t matter because it’s not her sister, it’s her cousin, and it’s her middle name. My drama teacher’s middle name was Danielle, and her cousin’s first name is Daniella. It’s okay.

Brookie would NOT age well. it’s good for a 5 year old, not a 40 year old.

I think we are going to use Brookie. I absolutley will not use Brooke as a first name even if it just is her cousin. I am really close to my sister and my neice.

Brookie is too cutesy and nicknamey for my taste and it wont age well. Plus it’s too close to Brooke.

Brookie is too nickname-ish for me, as well. I think Brooklyn is a good suggestion.

I know a whole family where the grandfather’s first name was Brooks, so they all use some form of his name. They have a Brookie (adult), Brooklyn (child), and Brookie’s daughter named - Bay Brooks which I think is adorable because Bay is a beautiful fresh name out there right now. I also love Brooklyn Grace or Brookie Grace. GL
