my cat is Gus Eugene... we call him GusGus after the fat mouse on Cinderella =-)
We also called Gustavius, Gustav, Gustophson, and Augustus when we want to be goofy, so....
All that to say, that I can’t imagine a little boy with that name.

I’m not sure if you’re kid will appreciate this name later - he might be teased. I love James Augustus though. It sounds regal and you can still have the name! GL

i like it but i don’t think you should give him the nn Gus, i don’t know why i just can’t see it as a name for a little boy, i prefer James as a middle name, Cole always makes me think of coal, i think the nn August would be better or maybe just give him the name August James, is he going to be born in August??
