Middle vs. Name vs. Questions
I just wanted to get some opinions for middle names. How many middle names is okay? What are your thoughts on middle name/s being after a special person in your life (family member/best friend)?

I think it’s a personal thing. For me, one or two would be nice depending on the length of the first name and the middle names. I like using names that mean something rather than just a ’filler’. Although you should never feel like you have to use the name of a relative. I have a middle name and so do my daughters but my son and my husband don’t. It’s a kind of little tradition we decided on without it being really obvious.

I think two middle names can occasionally sound good when done with a thought to how well they flow together.
However in the main I think that more than one middle name just kind of sounds like a list rather than a nicely put together name
I like the idea of middle names that have some form of meaning (maybe an author you like, a reference to something you love, or someone close to you) That said, I would probably never name a child after someone because then it feels as though you have to do it for all of them - and you’ll almost certainly never have enough kids to name them after everyone in your family, meaning that people get left out
Personally, I’d probably use names I really loved but considered too "out there" for a first name. Again, I’d keep in mind how well they flowed and complemented the first name

I personally think up to two middle names is nice, regardless of length. Big names DO fit in cards and such.
More than that is up to the person, but I’d try to keep at least some of the names short. Like maybe Lucy-Mae Katherine Elizabeth or Mary Elizabeth Madeline Jade.
It can definitely work.
It’s a very nice thing to honor people in the middle name. I don’t think it’s any less of an honor for that middle name to be one out of three, for example. You named you child that, that’s huge.
Go with what your heart says.

It’s all personal preference. Personally, I think one middle name is enough and any more than that ends up being a burden. As a rule, I don’t use family names because someone’s feelings always end up being hurt no matter what.
