Full name vs. for Hildy?
Ever since I read it in a book, I absolutely fell in love with the nickname Hildy. However, I’m not exactly in love with the full version: Hildegard. Nothing against the name, it’s just not my taste! What other names could Hildy be short for?

I don’t think I could use just Hildy; I’m not sure f it would age well alone. I was considering a double name, perhaps, if no other name could be shortened to Hildy, just so it seems "fuller." Any suggestions?
