I have fallen for the name Gabrielle for our baby that arrived yesterday weighing in at 6lb 9 oz :-) She looks like a gabby to but my boyfriends ex has just called her daughter Abigail (abi). Is it to close?

No, I don’t think so :) Besides, it doesn’t matter if you’re not in each other’s lives anymore.
If it bothers you that much, you could always give baby Gabrielle the nickname Elle. I actually think it’s a lot prettier than Gabby :)

No they’re not too close.
You could also use Brielle, Ella, and Elle for nicknames.
