Baby name vs. Help!! Please!

I’ve run into a little set back in the naming process. We find out next week if baby is a boy or girl. My husband and I have said for years and years if we ever have a daughter we want to name her Elliot and call her Elli for short. We’ve mentioned the name to a few people, family and close friends, and people either love it or are confused by it. It’s really put a damper on the whole baby naming process for me. How much does everyone else’s opinions matter? What should we do? Use what we’ve always loved or look for, what we feel, is second best? Thanks!

Dear Genie, I need you to help me find a Greek name for a girl. I've already used Theodore and Sebastian for her siblings. But every other Greek girl's name I see is either too pretentious, hard to pronounce, or just too popular now. The only name I can picture using is Caroline, but it's not Greek!
Baby Name Genie:
The Greeks would name her Charissa Zoe. Then, they would stuff her in a wooden horse and give her to the Trojans. So, my advice would be to borrow the name but not the rest of their tactics.
