No. I don’t care for it for a boy, because I think it sounds like a dog’s name, but I definitely don’t like it for a girl, because I think right now, it’s being used more as a boy’s name. I much prefer Harper.

I love Hunter for a girl. It’s on my list, as well. I just think it’s so strong. And I don’t find it gender specific because girls can be hunters too.

We are pretty much set on naming our little girl Hunter for special reasons, however, we don’t want her to be teased at school. We have a few months to think about it yet, it seems like people either love it or hate it for a girl, no in-between.
