Corinne Olivia vs. Merritt Jane

We really like Corinne and Merritt but we can’t decide between the two as they are both family names. She will most likely end up with a nickname when she gets older(any nickname suggestions). Older brother is Elijah "Eli" Damon(22 months). Thanks! ~Heather&Family

MJ is the most obvious nn to me ( I voted Merrit ) otherwise Meri or Janey

I like both a lot but I am not a fan of Olivia at all so my vote is for Merritt Jane. Lovely name. Merritt Corinne would also be great if you are open to suggestions and combining them and you get to use both. I think the common nicknames would be Meri for Merritt and Cori for Corinne (which ever spelling you’d prefer) however I don’t care for Cori on a girl and I like slightly less common nicknames so I would suggest Rine (Reen) or Rina for Corinne. Love Meri for Merritt though. I think personal family nicknames that don’t necessarily have a relationship to their name.

We would actually pronounce Corinne Cuh-Ryn so Rine(Reen) wouldn’t really work for us. We like the idea of Merritt Corinne and we love Meri or Janey for Merritt.
