How would vs. you pronounce vs. Annika?

Just curious as to how people pronounce this. Is it Ann-ik-ah (Danica without the D) or Ahn-ik-ah (Monica without the M). Thanks in advance.

I don’t pronounce it either of those ways. When I see it, I think Ah-Nye-Kah. But of those two I would say
Ann-Ik-ah.

Ok, thanks for the input. We figure most people, especially living in the US, will pronounce it Ann-ik-ah. The only time we have heard of the name though is on the golfer Annika Sorenstam who pronounces it Ahn-ik-ah. Some sites even say Ah-NEE-kah though (sort of like Anita with a k instead of t). All so confusing.

I have always heard it ahn-i-kuh. I like that way best. But which ever way you pronounce it people will pick up on it.

I would say it the way that rhymes with Danica, but have also heard AHN-ica

I pronounce it Ahn-ik-ah (rhymes with Monica). I live in the US.

I would say it Ann-uh-cuh. It would depend on which pronunciation you liked better. Ahn-nuh-cuh sounds more hispanic, in my opinion.
