stick with James vs. ditch James
Hello, I love the name James for our son, but I have a dilemma about it! firstly, my other 3 sons have uncommon names (as I like my kids to be the only one of that name in their cl[removed]o, my question is, should I ditch James and find a more unique name? The name James is very popular in the uk. Thanks for your time. What would you do?

Jameson is virtually unheard of in my location, so thats food for thought.. thank you for your opinions

Personally, I love the name James, but I would never use it as a first name because I cannot stand any of the nicknames that someone could possibly come up with (Jamie, Jim, Jimmy, etc), so despite it being popular as such, I would use it as a middle name and find another more uncommon name as a first name.

If not I think you should go ahead with James. It’s handsome and classic and I think going with the name you truly love is always more important than popularity.
