Names vs. That Are vs. All Boy

I despise unisex names, I especially hate it when people use boy names on girls like Dylan, which means "SON of the sea". I used Dylan as an example because it’s becoming more popular on girls, and it’s a name that I really wanted to use for my son, who is due is August. I have a son named Aaron Jude (4) and a daughter named Naomi Brielle (16 months. Please suggest boy names that are "all boy" and not unisex, thank you.

Looks like you have some good suggestions. I agree with you that most unisex names are annoying.

I like Lawson, Brock, Nicholas, Trenton, Holden, Lucas, Joshua, and Zachary. And thanks poster 2: I’m glad I’m not the only one. I just can’t stand it when someone questions the gender of a child because of their name. If someone said their child’s name was Mackenzie or Reese and someone asked "Is it a boy or a girl?" that would drive me insane as a parent.

You can still use Dylan if you want, keep it from going to the girls :)

I like your taste in names. Aaron is my top boy name and Naomi is also a favorite. A site to go to for more names and advice would be http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com/ The best of luck finding the perfect name!

I like Michael, Xavier, Roman, and Luke. Thanks for all the suggestions!

LOL. Aaron/Erin is unisex. If you simply heard it you would not know if it was for a boy or a girl.
posted by guest :: 9 years ago | report
Aaron and Erin are two completely different names with different origins and pronunciations!

They might have different origins but where I live they are pronounced exactly the same way and I bet if you ask most Americans they will say the same thing.

If I heard Aaron/Erin, I would assume boy, as most people do with unisex names. However, Aaron and Erin are completely different names.
