Thoughts on vs. Tiberius vs. Tiber for short

We are expecting twin boys and so far we really love the name Tiberius. What do you think? What would you name his brother? We want astrology/mythology/history based names that are long. We have a daughter Araminta who we call Amity for short. Any and all help appreciated! Thank you~Cat

IMHO, the name is a bit "out there." It almost sounds more like a pet’s name than a human’s name. You really have to ask yourself if the name would look good on a job resume. Tiber sounds cute and might work, but only until he’s about 10.

Well tbh we figured since it started as a human name and has ties ti different aspects that it was still acceptable as a name just not common? Like our daughter’s name... We are open to suggestions if you have any.

I do like Lucius and we like Theon but it feels too short. Thanks!

We were also considering Theseus, Osias, Romulus, and Timotheus. Like any of those?

Your other ’considerations’ are a bit too much for me. Romulus is the only one I’d consider

Suggestions would be a great help lol we have TWO boys to name afterall especially since our list fell through. However we recieved the same reaction when we announced we wanted to use Araminta but now everyone loves it. Maybe Lucian, Leiandros, or Anaxandrias? Constantine, Poseidon, Atlas, Draco, or Michelangelo? Valor and Noble? These were all names we considered but eliminated ourselves but maybe some are a better medium between uncommon and "useable"? Please help!!

I think some of the names you previously eliminated are much better suited with Araminta. I feel that most of the others were not really of the same style.

Lucian is great and goes with Araminta perfectly, and if I could sneak a suggestion from a previous poster Lucian and Theon work very nicely together.

Oberon (means noble bear so a cute nickname is bear)

You need something different but not weird and historical with being mouldy and uncool...
Atticus
Leander
Caius
Cosmo
Felix
Rufus

I know these are not as exciting as some of your other choices but they are certainly more useable. From your others, I like Atlas, Draco, Lucian & Osias.

It’s a bit hard to say, and I’d imagine people would have trouble with the spelling. I don’t find it all that attractive - makes me think of a tiger or something.

I actually really like it, but I would nickname him Ty, personally...Tiber sounds incomplete for some reason.
