Coco vs. Yes vs. No

I really love the name Coco for a little girl but I’m worried it won’t age well. What do you think? Should I use it or find something more mature.

Could be a nickname, like for Cornelia, or maybe even Charlotte.

Use Corinne, Corinna, Caroline, Cora, Coraline, etc. and call her Coco.

It’s cute, but I wouldn’t use it as a given name..just a nn. Maybe name her Courtney.

It’s very cute, but I don’t see it being taken seriously.

I know several Nicole’s that go by Coco. Go with Nicole and use Coco as a nickname, when she gets older, she can go by Nicole.

It’s more of a dog/cat name than a human name. Maybe Catherine nn Coco? Or any of the other suggestions above.

Poster #4, Coco Chanel wasn’t born Coco, her real name was Gabrielle. It’s one of those things that will only work on a celebrity.

If you work, I suggest going to your HR dept. and asking them what they do with resumes of people named "Coco" or who have creatively spelled names!

Would you want a Dr. or Lawyer named
Coco? Be honest

Hmm, I don’t think you should put it on her birth certificate. Giver her another name and have her go by Coco. It would probably not be a very nice name when she gets a job of something. Good luck! :)

It sounds more like a name for a brown dog. The only Coco I’ve heard of are Coco Chanel (which wasn’t even her real name), and Courteney Cox’s daughter is named Coco. I don’t think it’s cute, and I find it just odd.

My daughter goes to preschool with a girl called Luna-Coco. Seems to be working for her.
