opinions vs. please

My husband and I are expecting our first child, and we’ve started pulling together a list of names. Right now one of our top names is Peyton, but we don’t know if we like it better for a girl or a boy. We’re leaning slightly towards boy, but we’re also concerned that it might be too popular for girls to use on a boy. We’re not opposed to unisex names, but we don’t want to use something that everyone associates with a girl. What do you think? Could you please also suggest a few names (say five) for each gender? Thank you! ~Caroline

Genie's Mailbag

Dear Genie, I need you to help me find a Greek name for a girl. I've already used Theodore and Sebastian for her siblings. But every other Greek girl's name I see is either too pretentious, hard to pronounce, or just too popular now. The only name I can picture using is Caroline, but it's not Greek!
Baby Name Genie:
The Greeks would name her Charissa Zoe. Then, they would stuff her in a wooden horse and give her to the Trojans. So, my advice would be to borrow the name but not the rest of their tactics.
