Link is purely a nickname for Lincoln. Use Lincoln and call him Link. It is a full, strong name for him to fall back on. Lincoln Chase!

I know what you mean, but the issue is Lincoln to me sounds like a white persons name, and this baby will be half Asian.

No, I don’t believe it is ridiculous at all. It just doesn’t fit in my opinion. What I am trying to say is would you name a white person Juan? Would you name a white person Muhommand?

Reminds me of The Legend of Zelda. And how is Link "non-white" or even "half-Asian" sounding? It just sounds made up to me.

At least he’ll never meet someone else with the same name...?

I agree with the above poster said about the video game. I am not saying that "Link" sounds non-white. I am just saying that "Lincoln" sounds like a white person’s name. Anyway, thanks for the responses. I think I’m going to go with it! To each their own. ;)

I played when I was young, but that’s not the reason for the name. Apparently there is a Link in a soup opera my mom watches, there was a Link in the movie Hairspray, and a Link in Prison Break, although I think Link was just a nickname for Lincoln.

Honestly though, by the time Link is older, no kid his age will know who Zelda is.
