I like Molly far more than Valerie and Stephanie which are just okay imo, but I love Molly.

Valerie is my favorite. It’s pretty and classic. Molly is childish and it’s a common name for dogs. Stephanie is very outdated.

I love Valerie. It’s not a name that you hear often, which is good. She would probably be the only Valerie in her class and that would make her feel special.

Stephanie is a very 70’s/80’s name and it has teasing potential ("step on me"). Molly is sweet for a little girl but you have to remember that your little girl will grow up someday. I have a hard time picturing an adult Molly being taken seriously. Molly is just too cutesy for a grown woman.

Blasphemy! A name is what it is, a name.

I know a few women named Molly both young, middle aged, and elder. And what you speak of is madness, for never have I seen a woman (man or child) looked as inferior because of his or her name.

A name is just a name, and use whichever you like.

Stephanie is the female form of Stephen and is a very respectable name. Molly is a diminutive of Mary. Use it as a nickname for Mary.
