Agnes? vs. Need vs. Help
Hubby’s grandmother’s name was Agnes Maureen, they were very close and she recently passed so in memory we want to name our baby girl after her. However, I don’t really like the name. So, if anybody can think of any names that are similar but much prettier than Agnes or Maureen I would appreciate it.

Inez is a variant of Agnes. Or maybe Maura for Maureen would work? And Maureen is related to Mary. So any form of Marymight work. Perhaps Maura?

Nessa is a diminutive of Agnes. There’s also Inez, which is a form of Agnes.

Annette is a variant. Using it with the nn Annie would be cute. You could also use a name that means pure, as Agnes does, like Caitlin or Kathleen. Or, you could use her initials.

Cady, Catherine, and Wynne mean fair/pure, like Agnes. You could also take it literally, and name her Honor Maureen/Agnes.
