Need help with girl vs. names!!

I am having baby #4. If it’s a girl, I am in trouble when it comes to naming her. I have a ton of boy names that I love (will be doing a poll later to help eliminate names), but when it comes to girl names, I am completely stuck. I have gone over and over the baby name book and am getting totally frustrated. Please help! My sons names are Alec Mitchell, Nolan Felix, and Henry Corbin. I tend to like older names that aren’t popular but aren’t odd. I work with little ones and I get tired of hearing the same names over and over. I will list a few names that I have considered in the comment section, so you have a better idea of what I like. Thanks.

Hazel ~ This is my fav. so far, but I’m afraid that it would be too Julia Roberts, having a Henry and a Hazel.

Maeve ~ I think it’s pretty, but don’t like it’s meaning.

Sadie ~ I think it’s cute and spunky, but think that it might be too popular for me.

Tessa ~ One min. I like it, the next I’m not sure

Mable ~ I like it, but am hesitant on using it, maybe best for a mn.

So frustrating! Any help will be great!

I don’t like Hazel or Mable. Tessa is okay, maybe as middle name. I prefer Sadie as a nickname, only. It is a little childish. Sara "Sadie" is very lovely and classic.

I like Sadie and to me the top 100’s aren’t too popular. That is were Sadie and Tessa sit. Mable hasn’t been used since the 1930’s and Maeve is O.k.

Kate. That is basically the only one that I absoluelty LOVE from your list and the only one that will never be outdated.

And I haven’t heard Sadie since the 1980s, so if that’s too popular for you, your baby will end up with a horrid name.

Other than that Kate Ginevra or Ginevra Kate is ADORABLE!

Your names in the second list are gorgeous! I think Alexandria is gorgeous, everyone likes it spelled without the I for some reason, but the I in it is very girly and cute! Some suggestions:

Alexandria Kate (nn Allie)
Madeline Kate
Madeline Chloe
Chloe Madeline
Bridget Alexandria
Chloe Ginevra
Ginevra Madeline

Kate wasn’t on my list, but thanks. I like Kate also, but I know too many Kates, Katies, and Katelyns.

I know 2 Sadies under the age of 4, plus plenty of people that comment on it being a popular animal name, that’s where my hesitation with Sadie lies.

Leaving the suggestion of Ginevra makes your horrid comment contradicting!

To the guest that took the time to post all the names, glancing through I see several that catch my attention, I will be back in a little bit to comment on them...thanks!

Thanks to everyone else as well!

I’m sorry, it seems as if everyone thinks that the names that I am posting are from you, Poll Creator. It’s causing some confusing and I am sorry. I’m glad that a few have caught your eye, I certainly care for a few myself. I also posted about liking Sadie as a nickname for Sara.

I certainly can’t wait for your next poll.

I think you should give your girl a boy name.
*Logan* or *Dylan*
That way its common but not as a girl name. You can also combind those with girly middle names like
*Logan Abigail* or *Logan Marie*
*Dylan Skye* or *Dylan Marie*

I agree with her ^
Maybe Logan Alice or Dusty.
I even like Andrea nut to mix it but call her Andi

That’s ridiculous. Boy names on girls is trashy and who wants to grow up with a popular boy name and have a name that is historically a boy name and has history to but as a boy name. It clearly states that she likes older names. You aren’t giving the Poll Creator what she wants but rather passing on what YOU want for your own little girl. I certainly can’t stand it when my name gets cut off (or used to) in school and my teachers thought I was Alexander and not Alexandra. It’s embarrassing. She has such strong boy names, she’s giving the same respect to her daughter. Who wants their little girl to seem like a boy on paper?

Finally have time to post again!

AlexandraMae - It’s ok, I really appreciate your lists, besides, it’s my fault for forgetting to post as Poll Creator, so everyone doesn’t get confused.

Tinsler and Sasha, thanks for the suggestions, but I like boy names on boys and girl names on girls, plus I’ve already named 3 boys, so if this one is a girl, I look forward to giving her a girl name, despite my frustrations on finding the right name. Actually, this poll has been a big help with those frustrations.

My favorite suggestions so far are:
Alice
Violet
Genevieve
Pheobe
Cecily
Etta ~ I absolutely adore this one!!
Jane
Lydia
Bridget
Iris
Margaret

Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions, this has been a HUGE help! I will have to go through these with my husband and make a new poll with combos.
