Kaia vs. Kiya vs. Kaiya

My boyfriend and I CANNOT agree on a spelling. I prefer the traditional Kaia. He thinks that looks funny and will be pronounced wrong. He prefers Kiya. I think that looks like Kia, like the car company. Kaiya is kind of a mix of the two. Which spelling do you think is the best and won’t be mispronounced as often?

If the pronunciation is Ky-ah/ky-uh. then I would go for Kaiya. If you are pronouncing it Key-ah/key-uh. then go with Kiya. Kaia isn’t bad, but I think people will get confused with the pronounciation. Good luck!

Kaia is the traditional spelling so I would go with that. Kiya does look like Kia so I wouldn’t use that spelling. Kaiya just is too complicated and will probably get mispronounced the most out of your spelling options. One more way to consider is Kyah. It’s a more trendy spelling but it will almost always get pronounced correctly.

Kaia is definitely the best and most likely to be pronuonced and spelled correctly. I agree Kiya is like Kia the car and Kaiya would be Kay-uh

I would go with Kyah or Khyah myself. But now days with every child out there having hard to spell/pronounce names it doesn’t matter much!

Kaia is definitely the best. The other two will be mispronounced many times. In fact, the other two spellings are completely made-up!

Other REAL spellings for Kaia are Kya and Kaya.

Kya is my preferred spelling of the name, that way there is no confusion on how to say it. Out of your three, I would go with Kaia, since it’s the most traditional. Kiyah I would say like Kee-uh. And Kaiyah just looks way too creative for my taste.

I also like Kaya the best. Of your spellings I like Kaia, but also Caia.

I chose to spell my daughters name Kaiya and at first people would pronounce her name K-A-ya instead of K-I-ya I wish I spelled her name Kaia but even then I feel like the confusion will still be there.
