Yes its fine as middle name. Middle names are important, but not as important as a first and last name. Most people wont know her last name unless they ask. She wont be called by her middle name unless she wants to be. I think Katniss is fine as a middle name and if you and your husband like it should totally use it. Good luck with your little Girl on Fire :D

I think it is ok as a middle name, but I might use Prim or Rue or something without such a strong hunger games association.

I think it’s in bad taste. Use it for the family cat or dog or Betta fish.

I actually love the name Katniss, both as a name, and the meaning behind it. Yes, it rhymes with some unfortunate words, but a lot of names do and people still use them. I will never see anything wrong with naming a child after a fictional figure that is so strong, independent, determined, loving, and courageous. And it’s a middle name, which most people won’t even know as she’s growing up, so I think it’s perfect.

I think it’s fine. That’s what I love about middle names...it’s where you can be REALLY daring!
