I think they sound similar, so too close for me but you could always use one or the other for a middle name and still be able to use them both.

I was also going to suggest using 1 for a fn and the other for a mn.

I love them both as well but they probably ARE just a bit too similar to use together.
I think I’d keep Owen and pair it with another 4 letter name.Maybe....

I like Owen, but I’m not a big fan of Ian. They are quite similar.
