Caspar Finnegan vs. I Need Name Help!

I really want my son to be named after my older brother(Finnegan), but I recently found out that my oldest brother and sister-in-law are naming their new little boy after him too. Is it okay for me to go ahead and use Finnegan as my son’s middle name even though they are too or should I just find a different middle name? Caspar is staying so please don’t suggest other first names. Thanks, Cari

You need to sit down and talk to your brother about this. it might be fine or it might cause hard feelings but the only way to know is if you all talk about it.

You could always use Finn instead of Finnegan but I think Caspar Finnegan flows really nicely together and would be a great name!

I personally think it’s fine. But I’d definitely discuss it with your brother and sister-in-law, just to be sure. Caspar Finnegan is a very handsome name, by the way.

Caspar Finnegan is very handsome. I think it would be absolutely fine for you to both use Finnegan but if you’re worried I’d have a chat about it.

Are there any other family names you could use? Such as, baby’s father, your father or grandfather.

I much prefer Finnegan to Caspar, so maybe you could switch the names and go with Finnegan Caspar. Otherwise, I wouldn’t worry about cousins sharing the same middle name, especially if it’s in honour of someone.
