Suggestions vs. Please!

I am expecting a daughter and would love to honor my grandmother who passed away. Her name was Josefina, (went by Josephine, which is the English version) but I have no clue how I should use it or even another name like Josie. What do you all think? I am up for all suggestions including MNs. Thanks! Last name will be Perez.

Josefina is beautiful! Serafina is similar if you’re interested.

My older daughter is Josephine Claire, we call her Josie. I love the name either Josefina or Josephine, it’s classic.

There are a ton of things you can do - it’s up to whether you like the name or not - if you’re not a fan but would like to use it to honour your grandmother I would use it as a mn so it is not heard everyday and is still a huge honour otherwise use it as a fn.

There are lots of ways you can use it
Josephine/Josefina of course
Josie
Josepha
Joanna
Joanne
Jolene
Jordana
Jordyn
- maybe same initials J. and a name starting with whatever letter your grandmother’s middle name was.

You could use Josefina as a middle name or there are a lot of names ending in "ina" or ine" that you might like.

Irene
Fiona/Phiona
Clementine (rhymes with "nine")
Jasmine
Caroline
Serena (sounds kind of like Josefina with the long -ee sound)

Similar names

or just use a hyphenated name

Choose a name you love and use Josephine/Josefina as a mn. They are both lovely!

Thank you all so much! What do you all think of Josie-Lynn and then a middle name? Or would that be too much?
