Thomas vs. Jude

I love Thomas but I don’t really like the idea of it being shortened to Tom, at least while I have some control over these things. Should I use it as a middle name for something like Jude Thomas? Thanks for your votes or comments~ Alice

I really like Thomas and I’ve never found nicknames to be inevitable. Our daughter has a name that could easily be shortened. But we have always called her by her full name and so does everyone else. It’s never been a problem at all.
