I know you are a big hunting family but I don’t think you should name your child after a firearm. Any others you are thinking of?

Remington / Remy is masculine. Please leave it for parents of little boys to use. How about a little sister to Addidyn (Addilyn?):

Artemis -- Greek goddess of the hunt. Artemis Kate, nn Artie, Ari, Tess or Missy?

Artemisia -- ("-MEEZ-ee-uh") Italian form of Artemis. Same nns as above, but also Mia, Misia, Mimi?

Diana -- Ancient Roman goddess of the hunt. Nn D / Dee?

Viveca -- Means "female warrior" which is not quite a huntress, but still a mighty role model. Nn Vivi / Vivie?

Maeve -- Kick [removed] queen in Irish folk lore. Celtic women were allowed to be strong and independent, at least in stories. And somewhat in real life. They could divorce a man and keep their property. This is a long winded way of saying a strong little huntress for your family could be named Maeve ("mayv").

Sylvie -- French form of Sylvia. Means "forest." Sylvie Mattea ("mah-TAY-uh") would honor any Matthews in the framily.

Sîan -- Welsh form of Jane / Joan, feminine of John. It sounds exactly like the Irish male name Sean, "shahn." Husband gets a masculine sounding name, but it’s still traditionally feminine.

Freedom -- nn Edie?
Rowan -- You could plant one in her honor
Briar
Valkyrie -- Nn Val or Kyrie ("keer-ee")?
Liberty -- Nn Libby?
Bryony -- "BRIE-uh-nee," a flower, but sounds like a feminine form of Brian
Briallen -- a Welsh flower, nn Bree?
Andraste -- Celtic goddess of victory, "ann-DRAS-tuh." Means invincible. Nn Annie?

Good luck! :0)

I actually went to high school with a girl named Remington who goes by Remy. I definitely see it as a girly, especially with the nickname Remy. It’s not a name I would personally use, but it’s not bad.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We will definitely consider some of them :) and sorry for the typo in my original post. Older sisters name is addisyn, not addidyn
