Owen Elizabeth vs. Piper Leigh vs. Thoughts?

We’re having twin girls due in February -- super excited, but running into some trouble deciding on names. My husband and I really like traditional boys’ names for girls but we also ADORE Piper Leigh. We really love Owen Elizabeth and Piper Leigh together, but our friends and relatives don’t like the idea of one twin having a "girl’s" name and the other having a "boy’s" name. The girls will join older brother Archer Christopher (6) and Dylin Grace (4), and we think Archer, Dylin, Owen, and Piper go well together -- but we’d like second opinions. Help! ~Emily, Mike, Archer, Dylin, and the twins

I love Piper Leigh. I do like boyish/unisex names on girls but not so much when it comes to Owen.

Here are some suggestions if you are looking for some:

Avery Elizabeth
Eden Elizabeth

I don’t really like Owen as a girl’s name tbh. From the other names you considered I like Chandler Joy, Daisy Finn, Tessa Jane, Addison Claire, and Brynn Elizabeth. Piper Leigh is adorable.

I think Brynn Elizabeth goes brilliantly with Piper Leigh. I also quite like it with Tessa Jane as they match in style in length.

What’s up with all the boy names on girls? I don’t like this trend at all! Piper Leigh is okay and I think it would work well with Tessa Jane.

I don’t care for Owen or Piper. However, I don’t necessarily see Piper as this super girly name. Yes, I’ve only ever seen it being used on girls, but it sounds quite masculine. I think the only difference that Owen has when it comes to Piper and Dylin is that most people have probably never seen it used on a girl before. I usually never suggest this, but perhaps if you did spell it differently, it would make it obvious it was a girl and she wouldn’t feel left out, or like she has a more masculine name than Dylin or Piper. Owynne, perhaps?

Um, it is perfectly okay to name your daughter Owen. Some people are a little too traditional. I LOVE these together. If YOU like it that is ALL that matters. I 100% support this idea! Good luck! Also, to all of you haters. Your comments should be constructive. Using words like "ridiculous" is upsetting to me.

I LOVE Piper Leigh and Owen Elizabeth. If you think Owen is too boyish other boy names on girls I like are Brynn Blake or you could turn Blake into Blakley good luck!!

Owen is as OK for a girl as Elizabeth is OK for a boy.
