One of my role models in high school, her name was Nicola! She was beautiful, ended up class Valedictorian and went on to play a division 1 sport! I would definitely suggest naming your daughter Nicola!

I never liked the name Nicole, but I really like Nicola even if it’s just a one-letter difference. It sounds much more feminine and soft than Nicole in my opinion. It would give me a very positive impression of someone who had the name.

We are naming one of our twins Nicola Cecily! Her brother will be Ramsey Cole. I think Nicola is such a stunning name. Very classy and unique without being over the top

I always felt, even though I’ve known some nice Nicoles, that it suited kind of a snotty-ish girl. It also sounds like someone super popular to me but from the 80s. I find it dated as it was so popular before and there are so many Nicoles now. There is some sort of appeal to the name though I just never cared for it. I LOVE the name Nicky/Nicki however, but it lost a bit of its lustre as there are SO many Nickis now

Oh! sorry!! I so read this wrong, I thought it said Nicole!! I actually like Nicola A LOT better, I find it very attractive and a bit exotic, I could picture a beautiful young gypsy woman with this name. Not sure if you ever watched Charmed, but if you watch the episode with the gypsies and there is the young girl who starts out as a doctor working in a hospital, that is exactly who I would picture the name on; in her gypsy attire of course. Very beautiful name, astoundingly different from Nicole to me.
