I love the name Chelsea! I grew up with a girl named Chelsie Marie and she was always a beautiful girl and still is to this day! It might not feel current to most people but that’s what makes me love the name even more in comparison to all of the girls named Mia, Charlotte, etc. in this generation.

Chelsea is a C/Katelyn type name except it was popular in the 80s and 90s and is dated.

I always liked Chelsea, but hated that it became so popular. My husband couldn’t be convinced to love this name the way I did, so we used it on our chocolate lab. As place names on people go, it’s one of my favorites. I wouldn’t worry about the "dated" comments. People love very, very dated names like Emily, Hannah, Emma, Vera, Lily, etc. Use it if you love it.
