Henley vs. girl? vs. boy?
My husband & I love the name Henley (hen-lee). However, we can’t decide whether it fits a girl or a boy better. We have fallen in love with the name Henley Rose & it seems so feminine & beautiful. We also like Henley Isaac/Isaiah for a boy. We have considered using it for a middle name as well such as, Eliza Henley & Isaiah Henley. What do you think of the name? It’s after our favorite actress Georgie Henley, and we don’t like the names Georgia/George/Georgie etc. Thank you!

I’d use it for a girl. Henley sounds like you’re saying Henry with a lisp...so for a boy, I would use Isaiah Henley. Henley Rose is nice; you might also like Henley Alice or Henley Verity.

I think its overly trendy and quite tacky, but I prefer it on a boy. I find it quite strange that what I assume is a grown adult couple is so obsessed with a young adult actress who hasn’t had much success really besides the Chronicles of Narnia movies, especially a grown adult man.

Just because Georgie Henley is their favorite actress doesn’t mean they’re "obsessed" with her. I think Isaac Henley is very handsome. I don’t like it much on a girl as a first name though. Eliza Henley is cute though.

I think it’s a very nice name, but can’t picture it on a girl. It just seems like a total boy’s name to me. Henley Isacc or Henley Mark is very nice.
I agree with Isaac Henley being an awesome name. You could also do Henley Isaac. Henley is a good name for a girl or a boy, and I would use it as a first name.

Hey, mom-to-mom. How awesome is the name Henley? I have three kids and one on the way and my eldest two are twins Zoeey and Henleigh and I have a son called Killian and my soon to be daughter will be caled Avia-Rae.
I love Henley for a girl the most probably because I have a girl called Henleigh, but either gender is awesome.

Kelly - Wow! I’ve never met anyone with a child named Henley! I love your spelling. It’s adorable & more feminine in my opinion. Your kids names are adorable! How do people react when they hear Henleigh? Do you ever regret naming her that?

At first people didn’t think it went well with her twin, because Zoeey (Zoe) is such a common name, but Hen loves it and so do I. She’s 28 now and to this day has never complained about it. She said if it was common for children to be Jr’s after their mothers like they are after fathers her daughter would of been called Henleigh Jr. Haha.

I love it hers was Henleigh Rose at first but my OH lost his sister who’s mn was Jessa so we added that because Zoeey got her first name Amelia.

Kelly - Well that makes the name more special. I think it’s so cool how we may have daughters with the same name. I’m going to make a poll on spellings of Henley so maybe you could vote/put your opinion in for that. :)
