Violet is stunningly beautiful... it is so soft and feminine and ethereal even... just a lovely, GORGEOUS name with a nice bit of edge.
I always found Eliza very unattractive.
I complete disagree with post 1, I’ve never met anyone named Violet and I have tons of friends with kids and a huge family with so many new babies both here and on the way, never even heard Violet considered.

Everyone knows what a violet is and what it means, it’s a beautiful wild flower... the fact that anyone would ever think of "violence" when hearing this name, should probably consider some therapy LOL. Not trying to be rude, that was just too funny and bazaar to me.

Eliza is very harsh sounding to me. Violet has always been one of my all time favorite names. Its the kind of name that is just notably and exceptionally beautiful.
