Hannah Rae vs. Isla Rae vs. Lila Rae
We have narrowed down to three names. Rae is a family name that we have decided on as a middle name. We initially liked Hannah the best but are having second thoughts. My husband’s parents are from Scotland, so we like Isla for the Scottish heritage. I love the sound of that name but wonder about the spelling, and think Lila might be simpler spelling but with a simar sound (although you lose the Scottish background). Which is best??

Isla was our top name for our fourth daughter but my husband couldn’t get over the spelling. I love the name though and I agree that it is becoming common enough that the spelling won’t be an issue.

Isla is stunning! Sounds sweet and feminine. Would not change the spelling. If it bothers you, perhaps another name.
