That’s why we want them to have longer names if they would prefer them. We will call them by the nicknames at home.

While I love the name Robert I had one Robbie in my life that made a very negative impression. And my husband and I both like Bobby!

Alicia and Robert are great. I know what you mean about using the nicknames at home. We mostly use my son’s full name and sometimes call him by his nickname at home. The only issue we’ve had with that is that he prefers to write his name as the nickname because it’s easier since it has fewer letters, lol.

Thank you everyone! And poster 6, that will be there decision when it comes time for them to start school, but I’m really glad to hear comments from people like you who have experienced this. These will be our first children!
