It’s great. I like the nn Timmy when he’s younger and Tim when he’s older.

I agree with poster 2. I think it is a great, classic name and I like that it has a different ending than a lot of other boys’ names, which makes it feel more distinctive and unique. My cousin Tim (his father still calls him Timmy, which is endearing), is called Timoteo by some of his friends. And Tim is so easy to say and recognizable, Timmy so cute for a little boy, that it’s just such a versatile name.

Timothy is very handsome and underused. I like the nickname Tim.
