Bob Thomas vs. Robert nn Bob Thomas
Do you think the name Bob on a baby is strange? My husband loves the name Bob, not Bobby just Bob. He doesn’t like Robert as well but is willing to compromise if we call him Bob for short. I’m not due for another 5 months but I just wanted to get an idea what others think of a baby called Bob and if we should go with Robert just in case he wanted to go by Rob or Robert when he got older. We have a 2 1/2 year old named Sam Oliver. Thanks!

I think you’re right, go with Robert. That gives him the flexibility to go by something else.

I agree with another guest. I would use Robert to give him more flexibility as he gets older.
