Jade vs. Jada

Earlier today I asked people’s thoughts on using Jade. Some suggested using Jada instead as my surname starts with a D and is one syllable. Also how would you pronounce Jada: Jade-uh or Jah-duh I’ve never heard it before..

I think Jada can be pronounced either of the two ways you suggested, as I’ve heard both. Pretty name!

Jade-uh. The 2 "d sounds" in Jade/Jada and your last name might blend together and make it sound like one long name. Without knowing your last name, I couldn’t really tell you if that is the case or not. If it is, it may sound funny.
