Ashton for Girl vs. Yes? vs. No... tell why not

Ashton. Love it. For a girl. It’s unisex, right? I’ve seen it as a boy name, and so I was wondering if it’s EVER a girl name. I like it best as a middle name though. Like: Sydnee Ashton.... -------- ~thanks

No. No. and No. I think there are so many names for GIRLS that you don’t need to give her a boy’s name. Personally I think giving your son the name Michelle is just as ridiculous. I can’t help but say no. Jenna, Ashley, Tonya, Asha, anything but a boy’s name. It is trendier then anything. All of this will hopefully die down and everyone will think the boy’s name will go back to the way they were meant to be. Overall I think that I would rather name my daughter Mildred before I would even consider Ashton.

Spelling it Ashtyn is more feminine IMO. GL!

p.s. You could also use Ashlynn

I agree with Tay. I think Ashtyn is ok but really reaaly like Ashlynn.

I always pictured Ashton as a boys name, however I think a girl could have it to spelled Ashtyn. I think it flows very nice as a middle name to a lot of first names though. I voted yes that it can be a girl name.

I love Ashton for a boy but never figured it for a girl. I like the Ashtyn spelling but have you ever considered Ashlynn?

Only as a middle name. I think Ashton or Ashtyn would be cute! gl
