I think I would pronounce it oh-reel-ya. I think it is just OK, but probably would never use it.

Just by reading, I would pronounce it ah-REL-ee-ah. It’s not a completely terrible name, and it’s kind of pretty, but I feel like she would be made fun of for it, or at least constantly be spelling her name out for people. Creative and unique, but a bit impractical. I wouldn’t use it myself.

Love it. This is actually my daughter’s middle name. It’s a family name going back several generations in my husband’s family. I wanted it to be her first name, but he thought it might be too unusual. I still regret giving to that. It’s pronounced Ah-reel-ee-ah.

Stick with jade for the first name. Arh-uh-lee? Too complicated and will spell/correct people her whole life.

I pronounce it like Ah-rail-ee-ah. I think it is a stunning name, and with the middle name Jade.. you can’t go wrong!

I have never seen this name before and I probably would ask for the proper way the pronounce it, instead of butchering it. It looks like a pretty name and as soon as people heard how it was pronounced, it would seem ’normal’ for your daughter. I do like the combination with Jade. Looks like you have a great option!

Aurelia is gorgeous, unusual and classy. I would definitely consider it for my own daughter.

I pronounce it auh-REE-lee-ah but ow-RAY-lee-ah is also lovely.
