Hi, our daughter will be called Maya/Maia (pronounced My-Ah NOT may-uh) but we are not sure which spelling to go for, opinions? Thanks!

As a friend of a Caia, be prepared for correcting people of the pronunciation.

To me, it should be spelt Mya/Myah. What you have is 100% MAY-UH.I suppose you could get away with Maia, but I think most people will assume that is MAY-UH. Just my opinion...

I prefer Maia but Maya seems to be the most common spelling and most are lovely. I think most people are familiar enough with the name to pronounce it correctly with either spelling.
