I agree that tia and abbie can be nn. I also think that you can still use the nn beth even with it spelled tabitha.

Hi. This is my poll.
I LOVE abbie but already have a daughter named Addie so that just wont work out, great idea though.
I still like beth best... but am testing tay out in my mind.

Tabitha Chelsea and call her Tess? Or Tabitha Elisabeth, nickname Tess? Tay or Taya is cute, too. Tess goes well with Addie.

Tabitha nn Tia is really cute, and I also think that Beth can be used even if Tabitha is spelled with an "i".

How on earth do you get Tess out of Tabitha

How do you get any of the other suggestions out of Tabitha? They’re all creative, including Tess! If she doesn’t want her daughter to be called Tabie (the only obvious nn for Tabitha), then you have to be creative! If we’re going to start getting technical, how do you get Jack out of John (Jack IS a nn for John)?

Tess and Addie are adorable names for two sisters! Tess is a good combination of Tabitha and Chelsea.

I like the nn Tess but I just don’t see how anyone came up with it . Can someone tell me how Tabitha morphed into Tess?

Tess is probably a combo of Tabitha and Chelsea. It makes sense to me...am I the only one besides the person who came up with it???

This may be a big stretch, but Tabitha is an Aramaic name meaning "gazelle." The name Ayla/Aila also means ’gazelle in Hebrew. They are no where near close, but they have the same meaning. Just a stab in the dark!!! =) I also like Tay or Tess.
