Jordan vs. Julian

We are looking for a name for our little boy joining big brothers Reagan and Brody. We both keep going back and forth between Jordan and Julian! What are your thoughts when you see these names? We are open to more suggestions!

I have been liking the name Jordan more and more lately! But ... I’ve also always had a soft spot in my heart for Julian because when I broke my leg badly in an accident as a kid, the ER doctor who treated me was named Julian, and he was really nice and friendly and helped me not to be scared of the immediately-needed surgery (yes, it was that bad). Anyway, I really liked him, and still think of him fondly. So, it’s a tough choice!!! I think I’m going to have to go with Julian though! :-)

Normally I wouldn’t vote for Julian because it just reminds me of Julie. I know it’s a classic, but Julia is a popular girls name and I always think of kindergarten when the kids ask why he has a girl name not knowing the history of the name and how it used to be very popular. That being said...I know a little Julian and because it seems to be becoming more popular, maybe other kids will know another boy with that name too. Jordan is also one of those names...but with your Reagan and Brody, Julian seems to flow better.

I think Jordan goes best with your other sons names is is a fantastic name. When I think of the name Jordan I think of a handsome, athletic guy who is also nice.
