Teighan vs. keep spelling

My name is Kayleigh, I really like the name Teighan for our baby girl but I need everyone’s opinion first! Pronounced tee-gan. My best friend recently passed away and I read that this name means attractive/pretty.. Which isdarling.. It is also along the lines another form of the name Timothy which was my friends name. I want a name that is kind of rough since I have a son Ryder Wesley(WeSs) yr 2. Please help decide on this name or a cool or similar style or a name with leigh in it.. Cant use Leighton though, already have a little nephew Landen yr 5. thanx!

I would change the spelling to Teagan. Teighan looks very tacky. Teagan is a beautiful name and the spelling Teighan takes away from that in my opinion. I’m not sure how to incorporate leigh into a name unless it already has it in it without it looking tacky or made up.

I looked up Teighan and got nothing. I looked up the Teagan spelling (which is Irish) and apparently that means "Little Poet". Tegan (which is Welsh) means Fair/Pretty", but may or may not be related to the Teagan spelling. I see not connection whatsoever to Timothy.

For me, Tegan is a much nicer spelling.

A friend of mine named her little girl Rhyleigh.

Timothea is an uncommon feminine form of Timothy.

But the shorter Thea is much prettier and means "goddess". Good luck!!

I really love names with the "Leigh" sound at the end though I do like the spelling "Ley or lee" better so I will try and suggest the names I Liked that look good with the spelling "Leigh"

*Ozley or Ozleigh
*Eisley or Eisleigh (pronounced "EYes-Lee.")
*Arlie (so maybe Arleigh)
*Everleigh
*Zoeleigh
*Harleigh.
