Honestly, I’m not sure if they really go together. When I hear Oakley, I think cool, calm, relaxed. It’s a very breezy and smooth name (if that makes any sense). For me, August reminds me of two things 1) the end of summer (which makes me sad), and 2) a stuffy old man.

Of the two, I like Oakley more. To match that, I like Oliver "Olly", Mason, Wesley and/or Weston.

A gust is a girls name in my opinion, that’s why I voted. No.. I like Oakley, I think Oliver goes well with it if I had to choose !

I like both names fine, but I don’t really see them as complimenting one another. I really like symmetry, so if one name has a nickname option, I would like the other name to have one, as well. I know August could go by Auggy/Auggie, but I have no idea what Oakley could be shorten to...Oak? I don’t think one is better then the other, I just have this little weird preference.

I also see August as a boy’s name, but I can see Oakley as unisex. Good luck!

Okay, the more I type both names, I still really see August as a definite boy name and Oakley (in my mind), is definitely more unisex. I think I like August more.

Oakley and August were both on my boy name list .... but I had a girl :) .... Love them both ... Oakley is my fav thou and will be my name for a boy (hopefully :P)

I love August, but Oakley sounds really tacky to me, sorry, it’s an overpriced sunglasses company and Annie Oakley. It just doesn’t have an attractive sound. Definitely use August, maybe:
