We absolutely love the name Theodore but we are concerned that people may make the link with Alvin and the Chipmunks. Is it obvious or could we get away with it? Thanks

I love the name Theodore! And unless your other kids’ names are Alvin and Simon, I don’t associate it with Alvin and the Chipmunks at all. If it really worries you though, you could always use Theo or some other nickname, but I don’t think it will be an issue.

Theodore makes me think of Teddy Roosevelt long before the Chipmunks!

Not at all! There are so many other associations, I didn’t even think of the Chipmunks. I love Theodore!

I was so close to naming my son Theodore because I love Theo. My mother reacted horribly and I changed it due to hormones. No one ever said chipmunks to me, more Theo Huxtable from the Cosby show. That probably show my age though.
