I think Vera is a pretty name, but my last name is Bayne and I don’t want her to get called Vera Wang because it sounds similar, which name should I chose?

If you really love the name, do with it! :)
I’m pretty sure people won’t make that connection THAT easily, your last name, although similar in sound, does not start with the same letter :)
