If you live in Japan or are of Japanese heritage, Ren is probably fine. Otherwise, I think Ren looks sort of incomplete.

Wren is a type of bird. Ren means water lily, lotus in Japanese. They are completely different names so the Wren spelling isn’t the original of Ren. I think Ren is a beautiful name and even if you aren’t of Japanese heritage you can still use it. I love Ren Elizabeth.

When looking at Ren spelled out, it looks like a typographical error. The name doesn’t sound bad or anything, it’s just that it looks more like Rene without the E or something like that. People in the U.S. will probably ask her what the name is short for, whereas people in Japan wouldn’t do that (if that makes sense).

Love Ren Elizabeth! Its simplicity is beautiful!
Any name outside the box on this site gets a bit of a hard time so go with your gut. Ps the meaning of a name is really important I love telling people how we came up with our daughters names which also have family and sentimental meaning. Gl!
