Is the nickname Bill (or Billy) too outdated now? I love the name William, but I find there are so many Liam’s and Will’s. What do you think of the nickname Bill?

Nothing wrong with the nickname Bill or Billy. I don’t think it’s too outdated. If you’re not convinced, how about calling him William and if he wants to go by a nickname when he’s older, then one will stick.

Thank you for your responses. I didn’t word the question very well, sorry. He will definitely be a William with the nickname Bill (I wouldn’t want Bill on it’s own).

I don’t really like the nickname of Bill or Billy.
I wonder if Wiley is a stretch of a nickname.
However, if you want to call him by Will/Liam, go ahead! There are a lot of Chris out there and it’s okay.
