big brother River vs. little brother Hudson vs. weird or not?

my husband and i have a 2yr old son named River and we are expecting boy #2 in July, we loved both River and Hudson when we were expecting our first but went with River.Could we get away with naming this baby Hudson or would it be weird to have a River and a Hudson(because of the hudson river). if so what other names would you suggest for River’s little brother?

Not weird at all! I actually LOVE this sibset. It doesn’t make me think of the hudson river when I hear them, it just makes me think of two extremely handsome and cool names that flow amazing together.

Definitely weird! The Hudson River immediately comes to mind and people will forever demand to know the significance to you.

I think the only way you could justify using it, would be if Hudson was actually after your husband (Hudson means, "Hudd’s son." Hudd is a nickname for both Richard and Hugh. This name and others that follow the same pattern (-son suffix) are intended to denote paternal lineage.).
