Please vs. Help!!

Hello everybody! We’re truly hoping that you can help us as we’re trying to avoid our family and friends causing problems with naming our first child. While we know it’s not everyone’s style, we’re looking for a first name that is on the extravagant side as well as being classic and elegant. We’d ideally like something that has the possibility of at least 1 nickname option if our child (or we) would like to use. We’re looking for help with names for both genders. Thank you for your time and help! ~Francis and Eleanor

We like Maximilian! We also are intrigued by Leviathan and like the idea of it but we’re just not sure exactly how it is pronounced

*I really like the idea of naming our (possible) son after my husband, but he isn’t so sure. If we used Francis, he’d be Francis III which I think Frankie or Tripp would be nice nicknames. This will probably stay on a maybe list for the time being*

Leviathan is just really really original
It’s a good thing it has a common nickname because the family and friends may be a bit shocked to hear it lol

We like Theodora, Honoria, Isolde, and Oscar!

Yes, we agree, Leviathan is very different and it is nice that Levi is more well-known for a nickname. Though, as harsh as it may be, some family and friends do not have a leg to stand on when it comes to "different" names based on some names that they have used for their children in the last few years.
